Thanks so much for doing the interviews with my parents!  The tapes were amazing - I learned new things and heard the familiar stories again (but how wonderful to have those familiar stories in their own voices).  I think the most important thing for me once they're gone will be to have preserved not only their stories and voices, but the familiar and comforting affects of theirs - clearing the throat, the chuckle, the sigh, the twinkle in the voice, the well-worn sayings.  . . .

I always know I've read a good book if I can laugh, cry, feel anger, injustice, delight within its pages - hearing the tapes was definitely a "good read" as I went through the whole gamut of emotions.  I think people on my walking path must have thought I was crazy-I listened to the tapes while walking and one minute tears would be streaming down my cheeks, and the next minute I'd be laughing hysterically.  Reassuring, challenging, comforting voices in my head!      -Nadine A./Wheat Ridge CO
